I like this "old charming fashioned way"! In fact I use to write a letter to my mommy in Brazil fortnightly, she doesn't want to use some computer and I also print some pictures and use to send with the letters. The hard part is that a letter from Luxembourg has taken a month to arrive in Brazil! It's so long time! Have a great Friday! hugs Léia
I love getting "snail" mail...as long as it's from a friend and not a creditor. But that's all the mail seems to be these days. I still send people things at odd times to surprise them. I just love getting a letter or card. This picture is so rural - I love it! Happy Weekend!
Cool rustic mailboxes. Even though I live way out and on a dirt My mailbox got knocked over and rolled down the driveway by someone zipping around in a big truck. Are we having fun yet??? MB
One cat prowls around small town Vermont.

No matter the box, the important is to get mail!

they are all vying for attention...!
Looked fast on the icon and thought these were birdhouses. Although I have seen birds nesting in open boxes like this.
Looks like they get more newspapers than mail. Neat tucked away shot.
I like old rural mailboxes grouped together. The ones around here are usually 'mowed' down by the snowplow!

Great shot...
Enough place for post!
We don't have this kind of mailbox here and I find them very cool!
Cute! Looks like you'd need to be Tarzan to deliver the mail in this place!
I do remember writing letters that took a week to get to the recipient.
Ah, the good old days. Now I get an email in seconds and am expected to respond forthwith instead of in a fortnight.
"Progress" sometimes ain't all it's cracked up to be.
Hope you're weekend is wunnerful!
I like old fashioned mail especially if it DOES NOT inlude and unneeded advertising.
I love this shot, with the clan of mailboxes and lush green leaves vying for attention.
Those are very rustic looking boxes. In my neighborhood, we all have to have the same one.
These days all I find in mine is junk and bills though. :(

You know, I vaguely remember getting mail that way.
Perfect, as mail is so important. We get so little real mail now. Where are the good old times gone?
Looks like postman also installed the e-mail.
Good. I'd hate to get nothing but electronic mail.
Very rustic. I hope that's not poison icy winding it's way around the mailboxes.
Good morning!Very beautiful photo!
Interesting!
I'd love to have one of these!
Even though I'm a digital gal, there's nothing quite as exciting as receiving a letter or postcard (not a bill) in the post!
PLEASE no bills!!
