Very well done... this even transports that feeling of a day that just a bit off. Rain does this to me.

Oh wow. I really like this picture. Perfect for theme day.

I chose a picture I took 55 years ago of my Patty wearing a red dress. On April Fool's Day, April 1, 1955.

I gave her a diamond engagement ring, and today, April 1, 2010 is my entry for theme day on my Brookville Daily Photo blog.

That umbrella would brighten up any dreary day. Lovely.

Like an abstract painting...wonderful photo...

Are you having flooding problems? I've been reading about areas in Rhode Island and Conn. Doesn't sound good at all!

It injects a little color into a very grey day.

We got the same inspiration from the weather!!!

The shape of an umbrella always catches my eye on the blogs, and this one is perfect for the day...almost ethereal.

Very poetic image, full of melancoly.

"Un p'tit coin de paradis sous un coin de parapulie..." -A little piece of paradise under a little piece of umbrella- is an old and romantic french song that came immediately to my mind when I saw your picture! I always find rain and umbrellas romantic!

Great photo. It looks like a painting and definitely gives you that "rainy day" feeling.

Nice capture and a very artsy photo, but I like it. Red umbrellas on rainy days seem to lighten the dreariness, just a bit.

I like the muted color and fuzzy image with rain all around. The lady looks snug under her red umbrella. Very nice.

A bright red umbrella may be helpful to fight a grey rainy day. Beautiful image and a great choice for this Theme Day.

The rain drips just add to the mood. I think red is the best color for an umbrella.

Raindrops keep falling on her RED umbrella! Great RED theme day photo!

Photo-Impressionism at its best. Lovely photo. Hope all is not too soggy your way.

Let me come back and say-- of all the 'red' I saw today, Kitty, this was my favorite. I LOVE it!

Ah, mysterious. Red, soft and wet. Let me think about what that suggests.

Good one for the theme day!

Re the Mao poster at St. Louis DP:
Mme la Vache was born and raised in China. Six of her relatives were tortured and murdered by the Mao regime. Socialism=murder.
