Happy Birthday, Mark! You have a wonderful grandson...as for the sweet potatoes, I only like them hot. Once they start cooling off, the texture and taste changes for me. Now sweet potatoe fries at the Gurley Street Grill in Prescott - mmmmm good.
I love sweet potatoes but mother told me when I was little that I made horrible faces when she tried to get me to eat sweet potatoes and peas. It must have been something like this. LOL
And yes, Brattcat, hop a plane (when they fly again!) and come visit Menton with Sharon. I so agree, these blogger gatherings are fabulous. And the friendships we make through blogging amazes and delights.

Happy Happy Birthday Mark :-)
Yeahhhhhhhh.....
Wonderful face!
What a great snapshot. Miss feeding babies, but I guess retirement is also a pleasure! Much future happiness, I hope, for this beautiful child!
What a great expression!
Best Wishes to your Brother.
Sunny :)
Happy Birthday, Mark.
I hope this chap develops a taste for Sweet Potatoes--because they are goo. It took me to be grown up before I decided these were good. LOL MB
He should try sweet potato fries. Much better.
Happy Birthday, Mark!!
That kid is destined for an ETrade commercial.

I agree with the comment about sweet potato fries.
I also agree with your comment about Venice on our Viva la Voyage site yesterday. It is my favorite city and I have been there 5 times.
Arrrgh, yams! I want jam! Boy this brings back memories of long ago!
And a happy one to granddad, Mark!
Happy birthday to Mark!
I love the wrinkled nose-- so cute. At that age, my girls LOVED sweet potatoes... but now they won't touch them. Sigh.
As for the Gamwell house, it is still a residence-- but I agree, it looks more like a museum! I can't imagine living there, although it is beautiful.
Happy birthday from us as well!
Bon anniversaire !
Happy birthday Mark!
Looks the baby won one tea spoon already and his left hand is free for fighting :-)))
Oh somebody got sprayed with sweet potatoes right after this shot!!! I'm still LOL!
Happy to You Mark!

Such a familiar face, from my kids.. not only in front of the sweet potatoes!...
Who knows, maybe he'll never acquire a taste for sweet potatoes. I never did.
OMG - he looks like Mitch McConnell having to sit next to Nancy Pelosi.

Love that expressive face. It works well in monochrome.
