I would guess that this man's children's memories of their childhood will inspire them to build a play house for his grandchildren, unless they live in a city apartment somewhere.
I love it! My eldest girl used to LOVE pirates, but now she's all about princesses and fairies and tea parties... typical girl stuff! Oh well, that's fun too!
I once built a cardboard submarine for my kid. We both could stay inside launching empty-bottle-of-Coke torpedoes to our cat. The cat then peed into it and it was the end of our submarine...
Can I put a spoke in this wheel? I wonder if the chap is doing it for his kid or for his self? It looks very elaborate and the kind of thing kids might shun in preference to the cardboard box and empty bottles of coke.

The stuff of great childhood memories.

Can he adopt me? I'm willing to wear a pirate's eye patch even if it's forty years late.
I'm not sure. This kid might be the death of me! ;-)

Truly lucky kid!! And an adult who remembers what it's like to be a kid! "Now, swab that deck!"
