Hold on! the hardest is behind now!
And it gave you time to search into your old pictures files and to find lovely pictures again...

I was not sure initially whether the lake was frozen or whether it had a gray-silver hue reflecting the color of the sky. The third photo shows one of the girls standing on the ice, which certainly answered the question.

It is nice to see children amusing themselves with the simple things in life, without television or video games.

Nice shots...

I think they have a lot of fun...

What ARE they looking for? Reminds me of my trollop through the woods when I was little. Beautiful photo stream :D

It's good to hear you're doing better. But to tell you the truth, you have such fantastic photos I can hardly tell you haven't made it outside in a while ;D

It must have been really warm out - where are their coats?! This reminds me of my photo safari out in the woods around a small lake near our house. I'll post that photo in the next few days!

Cute pictures, love the boots.
Sitting for about 10 minutes is my limit, still quite painful.
Hope your knee is getting better.
Sunny :)

What a contrast.. The girls playing happily along the river on this post and the snow on the previous..

These girls look like wood sprites! They certainly look like they are enjoying themselves.

To answer your question on my site, the beet dessert was delicious.

Love these fay girlies. Maybe they really are wood faeries.
Just to know you are improving ever so slightly is good news. MB

I'm trying to figure out what, exactly, these kids are doing or trying to do...but it looks like they are having a great time...and it's hard to beat being out in the woods on a beautiful spring day after a long, hard winter.

Nice set of images. How's ye olde leg?

Re Blocker's Furniture...we've bought several pieces there over the years...lately we've been looking for horse paintings as we've gone with a horse theme for our new villa...they have very nice stuff!

The images work regardless when they were taken.

Beautiful photos...they look as if they could fly away at any second.

Glad you're on the mend. Hang in there - taking care of yourself is important.

I love this series, and trying to imagine what kind of game they were playing! Really, though, what I mostly hear are the echoes of their mothers' voices: "Put on your coat! It's cold outside!" Ignored, naturally, as mother's voices so often are. ;-)

They look like little fairies in woods! Just lovely!

There is something so "Swallows & Amazons" about these images. It also reminds me of an Australian film, "Picnic at Hanging Rock" which has a decidedly fay-like quality to it.

Such a delight to see children (girls!!) enjoying themselves in the out-doors with only the props for games that come to hand.

Take all the time that is needed, dear friend ... or maybe buy a longer lens???

Perhaps they are harvesting pixie dust.

Hopefully you will share more of your archive, without getting injured first of course.

What could be more natural than playing outside poking around in the earth looking for treasures or just looking. I'm enjoying your archives!

Will your new physical abilities allow for your trip to Boston in a few?

The archives are there for times just like these. No apologies needed, we just want you to get better.

Not always fresh material are better, I guess the ones that make you feel joy are well enough. Like these pastoral and magic scenes!

Ah, youth. Maybe they are looking for critters. That's what I'd be doing.

So much better to do this than stay inside on the computer!
