Fortunately, we have them here all year. We have a multitude of ponds (all new housing developments must include so-many ponds for so-many houses). Sometimes they fly overhead or a flock of them do and honk and it reminds me of my youth when they left the southern states and flew home to Canada and beyond. Honking, high above me, in a "V" formation.
When you hear the geeses you know spring is springing? And if'n they flop in the water, then you know spring is around the proverbial corner as obviously the ice is gone? You're very clever! :-)
Re your comment on Ocala DP: I read the first few words and thought you were going to send me a bill for something...then I read the rest of it and I coo-dn't believe how dumb I was!
i am glad you are enjoying the Biosphere photos now that I am on the inside of the structures. I like your photo and we already are in the middle of Spring. After the Biosphere series I will post some Spring flowers to get everyone ready to see flowers again in their area.
Yes, and I saw the other day, a couple and then "another duck "went to play together, but it was a problem. The two males almost fought for the female one. :) You see...they are so jealous! LOL Hugs Léia
When you say goose music you are making a little ironic statement, right? There are a lot that spend the winter here. The only band they would get to perform in is Spike Jones'.
One cat prowls around small town Vermont.

I was chasing a big bird yesterday. Might have been a goose or perhaps a Grey Heron. Another sign of spring.

Hey, must be bird season-- a huge turkey walked up the driveway, through the backyard and off to other haunts yesterday afternoon.
Ahhh, it looks, yes, like spring . . .
this is beautiful

They must have been heading north when I heard them honking overhead about three weeks ago.
We have a few Canada honkers hanging around our pond too. MB
Wonderful moment from our friend "nature".

This is very beautiful.
The birds are nice, but the colors steal the show with all that blue ang gold. Amazing!
Very nice, I don't believe we have geese for spring here in NW Florida, but we do have robins and such.
The wonderful colors and the action of the geese makes for a great picture.
With the recent rain our snow is almost gone, how about yours?
Sunny :)
Looks like they are having a ball, and so are we with those fabulous colours!

Lovely shot!
Yes, one of the many wonderful sounds of spring!
I love to watch birds take off and land...they're so graceful. Lovely.

LOVE good music! Ha Oh yes, spring is here I think. Rejoice!
Here, we have no geese; we must wait for the swallows to hear the song of spring..
I wish for just an hour or two be a goose in that beautiful pond!
Very beautiful!
The straw colour of the fringe of reeds is very attractive.
