Oh my, carrot cake is my FAVORITE! This looks amazing. I'm glad you're on the mend, but isn't it torture to have to stay still? I was on bedrest for three months with my second pregnancy, and boredom can be much more excruciating than pain! I hope you have at least one doting nurse, if not several-- and lots of good books to read!

I am firmly of the opinion that both carrot cake and banana cake were created by folks who KNEW that cake per se was frowned upon nutritionally.
I hope the pain levels are decreasing a little. When do you think you may be able to get around again under your own steam?
