if ice melts in the forest

and no one is there to hear it
does it still go 'drip, drip, drip'?

The world has its own song wether we are here or not to hear it..As it has its own beauty, even if you're the only one to know how to see and catch it perfectly..

Super shot, Brattcat...and I'm sure it still goes drip, drip, drip if nobody's there...

The reason I know that is 'cause I used to teach some "drips" and when I talked to their parents, I was told they were drips everywhere, not just at school where I had to put up with them!

No, not at all. Drops do what drops do. Everything is relative. One human will see the drops, another will see the trapped grit.

Most definitely and the more it drips, closer spring gets!
I'm glad to hear you are getting around a little more. Each day my back feels a bit better, but it's go a ways to go.
It's so nice to see the snow melt, and the sun out!
Sunny :)

Too much thinking for early in the morning.

Very wet though. MB

The philosophical question that has haunted man forever. The other being about a bear.

When the spring weather finally arrives with warm winds and the smell of flowers fill the air you will be pulled outside with your camera and resume your routine. Go easy on yourself.

At least if it is dripping slowly the water runoff is not flooding someone downstream

My dad would say "no"..we had this discussion all through my childhood. It made for many an interesting debate. But I say "yes". And not only does it 'drip, drip, drip' it sings a song of promise of things to come.

It seems there's enough ice to flood the forest when it melts... What an exaggeration!
God bless you!

It's hard to imagine finding something like that in the woods here. Surely it would mean something had gone terribly wrong, but it's a common occurrence for you I guess. Gorgeous.

I guess is all chemistry, the seasons, the persons, the tiny link between worlds, cities, towns, individuals, hearts and melting sounds.

Ha this brought me back to philosophy 101. I like the delicate drip sound of nature's symphony.
