the view from the riverview cafe

the sun was slipping down in the west
casting her long summer gaze across the connecticut river
lighting up the foot of the bridge
giving a celestial weight to this pronouncement

What a strange but very nice picture!
I wonder what the author was feeling when he or she wrote this.

Everything is right in this image, the light, the colors, the reflection on the water...

At the end of the day, the light becomes gold, the river falls asleep, the heat turns into a caress on the skin..The photographer becomes a poet..

It is really wonderful and touching photo! Great reflection in the water and composition of colors and light.

I thought the slogan was some sort of official sign, but enlarged it is obvious that it is graffiti. It is most effective, mixed with rust and the setting sun.

I like what you have made here ...

I love the light and the greens in your photo! Just beautiful. Funny place to put the slogan though.

Graffiti intrigues me, especially when you stumble upon it in strange places.

There is so much to say about this photograph, Brattcat! It's just stupendous...the bridge, the light, the water, the graffiti...

And the poetry; just perfect!

Is that your poetic endeavor? If so, I shall bow in your presence.

Have a great day!

Thanks everyone. Sometimes you're just in the right place when the light puts on a show. And yes, Jacob, the words (and the photos) are always mine (except for the occasional postings by my dear friend, Simkitty, when I'm out of town). Thank you.

You could sell this photo. Simply stunning! Love the lighting, the message, the old bridge. So Billie Joe McAllister."
