Obsession 2

Here's another view of the smoke tree.
Have you ever found yourself returning over and over to the same object?
What object was it?
And why, do you think, did you keep going back to it?

The ocean. Can stare at it like a person can stare into a campfire. Mesmerizing.

This is lovely, also. Yes, I keep going to Lois Anne every morning. She feeds me breakfast!

;-) Have a great day!

Yes, I have several times. It sake houses area, an old part of the town. I keep coming back there and always find something new. And being there feels like back in the old times.

You've heard the saying, "Where there is smoke, there is fire." You are "fired up" about this tree. Visual interest draws me to objects, especially subjects or places that take on diverse characteristics behind the camera! Right now, for me, it is my garden as every day it offers some new perspective.

Looks smoky!

I keep going back to the Old Town area of Selma. I love to take photographs of the architecture and trees and historic homes.

I keep going back to get better results... but I'm not sure the logical answer is the right one.
To find new perspectives, angles or light? To know more something I like? Because it's fun...

P.S. - I love the answer of Jacob!

I wondered what you meant by "smoke tree": but now I understand it is the puffiness of the flower. It makes and eeirie effect.

I too like cemeteries ... but not always the same one. However, this week for one of my blogs i am photographing an orchid flower each morning as it opens, so that probably qualifies.

That tree looks almost magical. I would take a few hundred shots myself. And then go back again tomorrow.

I have found myself going back to a few of the same things continually - challenging myself to get the shot that truly satisfies me.

Different year, different season, different day, different moment, different angle . . . would all yield different images. You have found a fascinating subject here with endless possibilities.
