wow lovely words and full of wisdom! And for this week you started with a stunning b & w shot! :-) Thanks a lot dear friend! You always do your best! Great work! Léia
It may not surprise you that I am very much a cemetery-tragic. They are the most beautiful, serene and solitary of places that connect us to our past and gently remind us of our future.
You have captured such fragility in this image, aided admirably by the monochrome rendition. The smoothness and delicacy of the marble extends to the tips of the trees and the sky in the background.
Cemetery statuary can be so sad. I was visiting a local cemetery over the weekend and saw a statue that was quite over the top, but once I read the stones and understood the sorrow of the family, it was quite understandable. I'm glad I didn't live 100 years or so ago when disease could wipe out a family so easily.
Anyway, my picture today was taken in the bell tower of my church. And yes, it needs repair and is going to get it this year, but in the meantime it does provide great photographic opportunities.

Great silhouette. A very strong image.
Hey Kitty-
The silhouette's the thing! I thought it was a portrait at first. Cemeteries are peaceful places. I LOVE them on early mornings.
This seems to be such a peaceful place !! I really loved the photograph !! Great one..

A stunning silhouette. Looks fantastic.
She is so lovely. You've captured a mood here. I'd like to sit with her in silence for a while. Kudos!
