in autumn, the light blows kisses to us as she slips away.

we follow her departing figure with yearning hearts.

She departs your shores, to land upon ours. We share, then return her to you in good time.

I wonder what the leaves are like up in your part of the world. Julie will be going to Nova Scotia soon, and I hope the fall colors are on display.

You and Julie have been very poetic today. I love the landscaping in your photo. So pleasing to the eyes.

I'm sadly lacking in the 'poetic genes' unless it's 'roses are red, violets are blue etc.' so I'll say this, beautiful image for wistful words Brattcat.

After a busy morning at school it's like delicious "chocolate"to my mind!
Well ...you know how much I love chocolate! :)Thanks!

Beautiful image, true words. We shall miss her mightily. I have enjoyed browsing your recent posts, as usual.

Ah yes, the departing light is the hardest part for me.

Very poignant. Especially the "yearning hearts" bit. I remember those feelings when living in the north. But you'll enjoy the beauty of winter, too.

And your sense of humor will keep you warm: "Ice" indeed!

As always you find a way to make your beautiful photographs even more special. I can feel the spongey green moss and the warm stones.

This is so beautiful! As to Autumn, well, it's been more than 30ºC every day here...

Summer kissed us goodbye here, and now she has returned for more.

Ah, the poet comes out. Your winter nights are so long.

Brattcat, you just have to be a poet out there in the real world. Will you write the captions and text for my posts? Pretty please?
