the troll left his post to get a mocha latte

and a moment later the littlest billy goat gruff
went safely clip-clopping over the curved white bridge
(newport, vermont)

I'm learning every day: I did not know there were trolls in Vermont.

There is not much room under this bridge for trolls to live, unless they like to swim.

I hope the troll has scuba gear! Great reflection.

Nice composition. You've been wandering; isn't Newport way up north?

I love the way it echoes in the water.

My little goat Stanley would love to go clip-clop across this bridge. Once the troll was gone that is. MB

What a wonderful image you have given us both in photo and words!

It does look like mocha latte weather, troll or otherwise! Of course, billygoat would have tasted awfully good with coffee.

Now that is a reflection...I could barely tell where the bridge stopped and the reflection began. Trolls? What's that all about?

Re your comment on Ocala: Thank you - you're very kind. She was something! A seamstress, a poet, a contest winner (including one of the Burma Shave signs), an excellent painter (oils), a teacher/lecturer, and an author of 22 books.

I don't know who took the pic. Could have been my dad. I remember asking him once why all his photos had cars in them. He said those old cars broke down or had a flat about every 100 miles. So someone was always taking pictures while they were being repaired.

Have a great week!
