about not immersing his car in water
(i've spotted this nifty little craft puttering along the confluence of the west and connecticut rivers several times...but this is the first time i've managed to capture it with my camera.
not a great composition, not a high quality image, but isn't it fun?)

Oh absolutely. What amazing things go on in your part of the world.
Yes. Love it.
Now you have really brought back great memories. My dad had one of these "Amphicars" and it looked exactly like this one same color and all. At that time many, many years ago we lived in Quincy Illinois right on the Mississippi and dad loved to drive down the boat ramp and float off into the river while people stared. It was a fun thing to have but, I must admit I was a little fearful of it It seemed so small on that mighty and powerful river.
I didn't know there were any Amphicars left out there. I've seen them in car shows, but never out and about. Great photo!
That is soooo cool!
Literally a great catch! I wonder what he will do reaching the shore...
I know a guy who actually tried this in the canal system of NY State... in his real car. The ending was not pretty! It cost a lot to dredge his car out of the canal in western NY. hahahaha!
Many, many years ago, I rode in one of these. It was very bizarre to go directly from land to water!
I'm glad you got a shot of it.

P.S. LOL on Birdman's comment!
An Aqua-car. I love it and now I want it.
Good capture. MB
These things still amaze me, though they've been around for awhile. Don't apologize...it's a very cool photo!
We're still in Colorado, but Denise is home and doing much better...we'll be here for awhile...
Thanks for your expression of concern, BC.
That's such an unexpected image! So amusing and intriguing! Thanks for sharing!
