Happy Belated Birthday, fellow New Englander!
You don't have those flowers blooming yet, do you?
(I think I know the answer....)

Great shot of the bee. I never hang around them long enough to check out what they look like close up!

Yes, E. These are blooming right in front of our house. We have two bushes in full blossom and the bees are even more wildly excited about all of this than we are.

He is a handsome fellow! What type of flower is this? They're lovely.

Thank you for kindly asking after my daughter's play. It was fantastic...so funny and they did such a great job. Had a cast party afterwards and everything. :)

Azaleas or rhododendrons? Ours are no where near blooming, only the forsythia...

I love bumblebees. They're so fat and fuzzy looking. Almost cuddly - except for those stingers!

As befits a Frenchwoman, I am late with my birthday wishes. ;-)

You know what? Ah those French... I don't know ANYONE who goes to hotels in Paris but I could ask around if I had a better idea of what's affordable and what arrondissement or neighbourhood would be most convenient.

The bee is lovely. I am so scared that they will die on us.

GREAT!

This is a rhododendron, E, though for years we thought it was an azalea.

A wonderful bee and a flower that looks as if it's made of taffeta! I missed the anniversary yesterday - happy birthday to your daughter. I loved the way you talked about it. Beautiful.

Very nice. I'm always a little apprehensive getting so close to bees trying to get shots like that.

Wonderful azalea
and love the bee.bee :)))

This bee, whilst absolutely gorgeous, appears to be wearing its slippers on its back.

You are off to Paris I gather ...

Yesterday, was the final session in this first block of French lessons. Guy handed out a wad of notes for travellers to France. Articles and lists that he has collected over the years full of wisdom for those of us who might have the opportunity to travel to his homeland. When does she leave?

Guy went straight from the lesson to the airport. His 96 yo mother is not well. Term 2 commences May 10.

This is not from the horses' mouth, but is worthy of being tossed into the pot. I could scan some relevant bits in and send to you/her if that might be acceptable.

I'll bee darned!

That bee is so nice and sharp and its colors contrast nicely with the pink flower. I have yet to get a good photograph of a bee.

Have a great week!
