the paramount theater once stood on this site.
i saw King of Hearts here, twice.
when the theater burned down
the town visionaries decided to make an indoor park out of the space.
it's often entirely naked beneath the glass roof.
you can take shelter here from the rain,
watch the snow fall,
walk to the back and gaze at the lazy river.
there is no river inside the 'river garden'
there is no garden inside the 'river garden'
but any given day will find a dozen or so people in there,
reading, playing chess, dancing the wild fandango.

Wish every town had visionaries like yours.
A place so nice
I'd build one twice
To give the folks
A place to go.
Every town should
Provide space so
Folks could do the
Wild fandango!
It sounds like they've created a perfect place for quiet contemplation. Every city needs a River Garden.
Oh, how we need an indoor park here! You've painted a beautiful picture of words for us, thank you.
King of Hears was a great movie to see. Are you drawing a parallel here between the inmates from the movie and the town visionaries creating a haven from the elements?
If you can always find people taking shelter there or using the place for some leisure, it must be a good thing!
God bless you!

Very cool shot for the skywatch theme!
I wonder what you see when you look out? The beams make a lovely photo, though.
Oh, to have space where the wild fandango is not verbotten, or reserved for the young!
As with so much in life, the mass of green lines need just a smatter of red to be seen at their best.
Great idea for an old theater, indoor spaces for leisure are very important for an harmonic development of towns and cities. Have a wonderful weekend and thank you so much for your most kind visits.
Love the geometry of the lines and the dance of your words.
Looks a bit messy, and I like it!
I really like the fact that this was the site of the "King of Hearts" showing. Did I just see a birdcage go past?
I'm down with it!
