ocean city, maryland

the wind bullied the nearly deserted beach
but these two intrepid walkers bundled up and strode the strand.

good for them. There was a lot to see just watching the waves come in.

It looks like mother and daughter, that is the kind of thing I did with mine. Love the stormy seas.

The surf has a way of drawing you, even when the weather does not.

Great photo! Viewed small (and with poor eyesight perhaps), it looks like something from another century . . .England . . . a mystery . . . Viewed large: wow! Another kind of visual punch -- those waves, the blanketed walker . . .

The best way to enjoy ocean: noone on the beach, great waves and wind in the hair...

In 2002 I was doing just that just there.

"Intrepid" seems to be the way to go to enjoy reality.

Intrepid. One of my favorite words, I think it would have been too chilly for me to get close to the surf,

This made me think of one of my favourite books The Shell Seekers' Bratcatt.. The beach is beautiful in this kind of weather.

My mother used to take me there as a child. Look at those waves!
