ellie, the acrobat who lives next door in the purple house,

performed for an audience of neighbors on sunday.
notice the bare feet...the temperature was 40 degrees f.
and it didn't take long for her toes to turn as rosy as her sweater...
but being a professional, she never missed a trick.

Sweet one! Doing athletic tricks keeps you warm, toes included, I suppose.
About your question. I got my first camera at age 7 or 8, one with those little throw-away cubic flash lights. I've always looked up, having been an ardent bird watcher in my youth. And somehow, it stayed with me. So, it's a lifelong thing.

She's cute enough to be an actress, too. I guess she is, come to think of it. Frosty weather doesn't deter determined divas like this!

Re your comment on Ocala: I'm certainly glad you didn't leave a pithy comment. One of my concerns was that someone in the advertising business might get pithed off!

When the phrase "infectious smile" was penned, Ellie must have been around! What great photos you have today!

Great expressions. She is very photogenic! My son does the same thing....runs around barefoot. It can get way too cold for me, and he still doesn't like shoes.

I can't imagine going outside barefoot in 40 degree weather. You have captured the childhood sheer joy from simple pleasures two days in a row.

Sweet photos. She's got coordination, health, and good looks going for her. I'll bet she's effectively articulate, too.

I'd venture Miss Ellie has some Scandinavian relatives. What a happy girl and you captured her and her rosy toes perfectly!
