we jiggled and rattled for over a minute.

chairs rocked themselves, plants trembled,
and little brattcat
gawped nervously.

(the epicenter of this 5.8 earthquake was over 500 miles south of here)

I heard from family and friends from all through the area... glad that all in the brattcat embrace are well!

Love the lines in this shot and the anticipation of movement!

Glad that there were no injuries. I've never associated quakes in the US with the east coast.

We heard that on TV this morning! I could not believe it, i live in a place where we often have earthquakes, but i'd never imagine one on the east coast of USA!
I'm so glad to read that everyone is safe!

Good to know that it was nothing more than this!

It's nice that you got to experience a little rock 'n roll way up there in Vermont! Pretty amazing.

BTW I've been reading a bit about Vermont and Brattleboro...I'm impressed! Progressive!

I think that must have been a pretty scary experience Brattcat, so glad it was not worse, and btw 'little Brattcar' is totally adorable!!

A couple of our few taller buildings were evacuated but I didn't feel a thing.

Sweet little kitty!

The cat looks pretty composed and serene where she is sitting. Like Genie, I, too, love the horizontal lines.

I wondered about you when I heard the news. I can imagine my feline friend's nervousness. Little Brattcat should get a few treats today.

Seems like the Earth moved for quite a few people today. It does shake one up a bit.

Little brattcat looks a bit nervous about the whole thing. Amazing that you felt it all the way up there. I heard a report on the radio this morning about why the shock waves spread out so far. Very interesting.

Wow, I'm amazed you could feel it from so far away! I think every once in a while I feel an earthquake, but that's just the kids thundering around the house.

Little brattcat taught me a new word today. Even Birdman, who claims he knows everything, had to look it up. His favorite new word.

My wife was on a boat off California once when there was an earthquake. I felt it on shore, of course, but she did not. All of the dolphins disappeared, however.
