In Italy, when a baby is arriving, we say "he's given to the light".This way to speak matches perfectly with this little sunflower.

Terrific macro. Need not be shy because its is being "given to the light." What a great expression!!

I have never seen a sunflower in this stage of development.

You, Sharon in Phoenix and Julie in Scottsdale all have macro shots of flowers today.

Very nice, brattcat. A good photo and an interesting subject.

Thanks for your BD wishes. I don't like having a bid deal made, but the family is insisting we go to a nice restaurant tonight.

I love Malyss's comment. When the boys and I read aloud THE MIDWIFE'S APPRENTICE, they laughed hysterically at the advice to bring a baby into the world: "Infant, come forward. Christ calls you to the light!" This photograph is stunning! I want a copy to frame!
