Another postcard worthy photo! The red door is a delightful spot of colour.

Yes, I love the pastoral setting and it doesn't get much better than Vermont farms. Wonderful shot! I especially like the little spot of red.

A wonderful photo! If I didn’t know better, I would have thought this to be a painting.

I think those who have already commented have said everything that should be said about this photo. Iconic Vermont? Delicious colors.

Vermont farmers I do not know much about. But I remember Minnesota farmers from my youth. One was my uncle. Very stubborn, and hard to debate. Now, I see how he came by his circular reasoning! :-)

An absolute picture-book landscape.

I guess it is more efficient to cut in circles than to go a full row, turn around, and cut a full row back. It will get rather busy for the farmer making turns as he or she gets closer to the center.

I used to do this when cutting grass as a kid. My father used to tell me that I should cut the grass like vacuuming the carpet, and He would tell me that vacuuming was just like cutting the grass. But he never explained how to do either.

I answered your question about the sky on my Costa Rica site. It was close to dusk.

A primitive painting.

Gorgeous! I can't believe how lovely that is.

I admired farmers in North Dakota and Montana doing the same things last week! After cutting and raking, their round hay bales looked like gigantic spools in the fields.

Crop circles! Aliens attack Vermont!

Thanks for giving me the background on the NPR story about Brattleboro yesterday.

Here is a lovely landscape. It must have been tough deciding which shot to submit for the postcard worthy theme.
