a rare light

After a gray and sullen day, the clouds, for one moment, lost their solidarity, and the sun poured through the portal like golden honey. A moment later thick banks of batting piled back in and conquered the sky.

This looks like a old painting to me... similar to the Hudson Valley School in NY state. So New England in April.

This is such a wierd light. How wonderful to be able to capture it. I agree with the others: it is almost like a painting. That sky in the background sure does not look good!!
