Standing next to you and your camera should be an easel, palette of oil paints, and artist. The light in this scene would be a challenge for an impressionist who wants to tackle a still life.
A still-life par excellence. Somebody needs to paint it! Perhaps Irina over at Moscow Daily Photo!
By the way, we're growing yellow strawberries. Mainly they're ground cover but interesting to try. Let's put is this way. I'll bet the ones you ate yesterday were better! Don't tell Mr. GDP ;)
Well, that will bring light to your life and a smile to your face! Terrific item for anyone's kitchen (or living room, dining room, den, office, bedroom...well, you get the idea!)
Oh, nobody's ever called me "Dapper Dan." Probably 'cause my name's not Dan. Although I have been called "daffy" and "dumb."
Remember what Fred Astaire used to sing: "whe there's a shine on your shoes, there's a melody in your heart..". Must be the same with a beautyful vase in the kitchen!
This is a lovely shot, brattcat. I learned something about flower arranging from it. I usually use tall vases, but this shallower vase looks wonderful.

I wish you a nice weekend,
Léia :)
The quality of light would be a boon to any artist who would want to capture that scene on canvas!
You have a cut glass bowl filled with flowers in your kitchen? That is really classy!
Beautiful still life and wonderful light! Have a great weekend, and happy hues to you!

Very satinesque. Monet would have this bouquet in his living quarters. -- barbara
So glad that you have some sunshine and your photo shows the flowers like a fine painting with hazy filtered light.
Bon weekend!

This makes my day!
Yes, pumpkins in June. Go figure.
Looks like the photographer was very much sun-lit, too. Great.

Rarely a caption and a title are so fitting for an image, even for your excellent standards! And the image is great, almost like a painting!
Now that's what you call a bowl of flowers!!! and in exactly the right position Brattcat. Perfection!!
Exquisite still life! Like a living Redon!
This is absolutely lovely!
