There is nothing like a sea of french rooftops with their wonderful array of tiles and that red colouring ... ohh that red.. My daughter spent 6 months studying law in Lyons and the rooftops there are reknown ...
Aha, that is one superb composition...and dancing across the rooftops seems, from this perspective, almost possible after which one would jump into the sea!
I fell about at your response to Dave's comment....of course you are a cat - and tomorrow you'll see Brattdog on Riviera Dogs.
I too love the roofs but there's a lot of discussion lately (in our local rag, Nice-Matin) about the number of television aerials that are showing - can't say they bother me but they are there.
One cat prowls around small town Vermont.

Beautiful place, great picture. I am trying to decide if that is the sea I see beyond in the haze . . .
it is indeed the delicious mediterranean sea, jack.
Jilly's pictures have always intrigued me. The wonder of it all. I love this shot. Were the hills alive? I bet the rooftops were.
Looks like a painting I'd like to hang in my house. Lovely!

It's a wonderful photo in every way, BC!
The tile roofs in Europe are amazing to look at, especially in shots like this.
I love the quaintness of tile roofs an stone buildings in France and Italy. But dancing on the rooftops would break the tiles.
not if you're a cat, dave.
Oh what a beautiful shot!

Super photo of this iconic Menton view.
Brattdog now appears on www.rivieradogs.com for your delight and delectation...
Wow! That's a gorgeous pic!
Oh you built yourselves some very long lasting memories there! Wonderful. Did you know that Menton means chin?
What a sight! I can't imagine looking out on that every day!
Hopping from one to the next...
After a piece of goat cheese and glass of red wine?
What a beautiful place!
Wonderful golden terracotta rooftops - so indicative of this area!
Loving your photos from Menton.
What a fabulous view and I cannot imagine what a fanciful place to live... so glad that you and Mr. Brattcat were able to be there!
Bises,
Genie
It looks like we could jump from roof to roof!
Now, you are just making me drool with anticipation. Three and a half months till we get there...
Beautiful! Old town roofs make for great photos. There was a female artist called Maluda who is very famous for her Lisbon roof paintings.
I am glad that it is so close...
Oh this took my breath. What a fabulous shot!!!!
