we arrived at our paris hotel, the royal aboukir, at sunset.

 stepping out of the tiny room
 onto the tiny balcony
i thought, "this alone would be enough."

That's how I felt too my first visit to Paris. And, then I realized I had a nice view of the Eiffel Tour from my itty bitty balcony and I was even more thrilled.

Oh wow Brattcat, all that waiting and being crushed at the station in London would have been so worth it just to step out onto your balcony in Paris to this scene..lucky, lucky you..wish I was there!
