Beautiful windows, and I like so much this idea about a hot day!Forget the air conditioning, the fresh air is perfect!
Here all windows are closed ,it's raining cats and dogs right now! :(

If you were a southern belle here right now without air conditioning I can guarantee you would be swooning!

If this is a home, it might be a sleeping porch. With your evening temperatures it might be quite pleasant for sleeping.

Cannot imagine living without air conditioning, esp. the past few days. Unhealthy and dangerous although I suppose that the evening, cooler air could compensate.

Can't breathe without A/C this week. But I love your photo and caption.

Beautiful shot. Heard all about your heatwave. Having my in laws on Skype right now, it's 115 degrees in Toronto at the moment.

That's my kind of 'air'. Are the curtains moving? I can't tell from here.

I also cannot imagine life without air conditioning.

Interesting windows. I remember living in Minnesota without a/c back in the good ol' days. We would suffer greatly on occasion when the temps got in the 90s. At least in Florida we all have a/c!

Do three southern belles equal one ding-a-ling? Just wondering...

I can't imagine dealing with the heat you have been experiencing without air conditioning.

French cancan?

I wish I could send you some cold air, we have a lot of it...

We've been having a strong non-stop wind for more than a week now, it's getting us crazy and it's ruining the summer, so the idea of a/c makes no sense to me now. Wish it was the opposite...

I like the symmetry of the shot and the curious explanation...

It was 104 here today. I kept following the sun around the house and blocking all windows with whatever I had. Had to shut the windows mid morning so the heat wouldn't come in. By late afternoon it was unbearable, even with a fan directly on me. Just sat and did a lot of hand sewing. Did put on a bathing suit (tankini) later, but no, you don't want to see that. No, I'm not like the pics on my blog, but you still don't wanna see it. I don't know what's happened...things have just....shifted! I think one more day of the heat. Hang in there. I can't imagine you go into the attic on these days....

Ha! Great simile! But I think all the southern belles are hiding indoors today.

I hope you had a nice mint julep to give you some relief. The South was nothing before AC, it makes life bearable here.

It was 103 here in Hartford, and we have airconditioning, so I stayed inside most of the day. A bit boring, but tomorrow is another day.

My brother works from Cyprus, there was a big explosion there a while back, and since then the power comes and goes every two hours or so. So he decided to fly home, nice when you can do that.

I"m swooning at the thought of no AC. I love "windows fanning themselves"
