rooftop porches

promise a spot of shade,
a touch of breeze.
but in this heat not even the promise of a porch can be trusted.

dear friends of Norway, please know our thoughts are with you.

What a beautiful patio Brattcat, I should imagine when the weather is not too hot, would be such a fab spot to sit with friends.

I'm sure even this umbrella offered little respite. Hopefully a cold drink and friends were at hand around this table.

What a great patio. It might be too warm to enjoy right at the moment but, I bet this is a great place to relax most of the spring and summer.

I like the lights under the umbrella, the flowers everywhere, toys, food for birds, many chairs..I tells a lot of pleasant things about the ones who live there..

A breeze and some shade are about as good as it gets outdoors these days. Plus a tall cold drink. Your picture looks so inviting and speaks of weekends and relaxation.

Thank you for commenting about Norway. It is such a lovely country that it is unimaginable that something like this tragedy could happen there.

Love this setting with an emphasis on the red. Certainly your porch-parties will be starting before ours... I am thinking November - hah!

I had to look up "hosey"... interesting.

The delight of this oasis; the sorrow of Norway - that light and dark, such contrast.

Just lovely! Is this a private house? It could be a really nice restaurant. :-)
