hang a left at the cornfield, climb a bazillion steps,

and you'll see what young athletes behold
as they prepare to fly down the harris hill ski jump.
only you must imagine it all covered with snow.

That hill would probably look as imposing during the summer as it must be positively intimidating during the winter. I remember my exhilaration in college when I went airborne for about 4 feet from jumping a mogul.

Yikes! It's pretty steep right now. I can jusy imagine the edge in January.

I just have to replace all that green with a lot of white!

Ski jumpers always amaze me by their skill and courage! I could neither get up or down that hill!!

Ah, that's interesting. I've never seen a ski slope in summer, overgrown like a meadow. Wonderful capture. By the way, my wife was driving when I made the mountain tunnel image :^)

Makes my stomach flip-flop to imagine it - that steep descent, that lift-off, that wobble, that please-let-me-land-in-one-piece prayer . . .

Is it possible to climb the stairs during summer, and to reach the top?..It must be impressive! I like to see ski jumpers, what they do is so incredible to me..

It's perfect for Summer, I think it could be a little bit dangerous to climb there in winter.Your picture is beautiful!

I don't do ski slopes. In winter, summer or fall. I don't do them at all. I'm afraid of faaaaaaaaalling!

Colorful shot, though.

Wow. The local sports teams could use this for conditioning. It is even more challenging than running up and down the football field's steps. My days of skiing are over, and I am fine with that.

No thank you, I'm not ready to think about snow just yet-- plenty of time for that later!

For some reason I can't imagine snow just now. It's been pouring here for the last 2 days.
