i offer this with a tip of the margarita to dave of costa rica,
the big kahuna of surfer-dude photos.
this, in case you were wondering, is not brattcat on a surfboard.

Please, indulge with Florida all you want. I'm sick and tired of cold weather. Today we have -7C (19.4F) and it's dropping! Then people think of Italy as a warm sunny place... not in the North, anyway.

It seems to be a hard place for surfing.;This look like a struggle against the waves!

I will look at any photo where there's no snow, so keep the Florida photos coming.

This is how we Floridians commute to work. True! No kidding.

Ahhhhh, the ocean! Looks especially nice since I just came inside after snowblowing my driveway and sidewalk for 40 minutes!

Hmmm. Wonder where this was taken...Florida usually doesn't have sufficient waves for decent surfing...

But I must say this is a terrific action shot! Sharp (look at that water) and colorful, too. Excellent work, Brattcat.

And thanks for your so very kind comments! I've been blushing all morning...

There is a lot of churning water under that surfer!

Jacob, this is Clearwater Beach. And I meant every word.

Not something that scaredy-cat-me (begging your pardon for the phrase) would ever dare.

Fantastic photo!

Surf's up, dudes and dudettes.

This is a wonderful surfing photo, and I think it is even more remarkable in view of the fact that youwer on the Gulf Coast of Florida, not known for its surfing waves.

I think that after this vacation, you are now ready to take on the surfing waves of the Pacific in Tamarindo, Costa Rica or another surfing resort.

Fabulous Brattcat. Like you I love Dave's shots. I think you'll have to go back to Florida soon!

I am somewhat relieved to know you are not on the surfboard.

Wonderful picture.

At first I was confused...could this be the frozen river of Brattleboro? Impossible!

I am sure you are still lusting after the sunny south as opposed to the frozen north. I would be too. Neat shot.

Clearwater? Kitty, has to be my favorite beach in the state. Great pier, lots of adult beverage joints wonderful places to just people watch.

Those wetsuits can be very restraining but warmth is what they're all about.

This is a super nice Flroida shot. Not much of this on the Gulf side but Florida does have all kinds of beaches and water to suit most tastes.

Keep posting Florida for as long as you like. Go, Bratt, go!!

I would never have thought so. We'll leave all of that to Dave. I'm looking to seeing the Pacific in a little over a week.
