Winter Carnival coincides with February school vacation.
Most of the activities (parades, movies, sleigh rides, talent shows, sports competitions, etc.) are designed with children in mind.

Ski Jump

This weekend Brattleboro hosts an international ski jumping competition on Harris Hill.

Rudyard Kipling, when he lived in Vermont, played golf with a green ball so he could see it on top of the snow.
I wonder about baseball...certainly sliding into home plate would be easier under these conditions.

This house often gets me musing on the acquisitiveness of our species, and how cold that attic must be, and who and/or what might live in there.

Bell Tower

This McKim, Mead, and White school building sits above the town of Brattleboro. Completed in 1892, the building is still in use.
