at the train station

this couple accidentally locked themselves out of their car
despite the heroic efforts of a very kind officer, the key-fishing expedition proved unsuccessful
until mr. brattcat suggested flipping over the key fob and pressing the unlock button.
what a sweet sound as the locks released.

Now, how did he know that?? The first photo looks like they're being arrested after being told to get their bodies next to the car. Nice sequence of photos.

Reminds me of cars that were left stranded in flooded streets here in Washington, D.C. during yesterday's thunderstorms. Police were forced to float up to the cars in rafts and bust the windows just to see if anyone was still inside. They all turned out to be empty. But think of all the busted glass!

hahahahahahaha - I guess everybody has those "blonde" moments from time to time. Can't imagine how embarrassed that couple was!

I did the same thing a few weeks ago and one of the custodians at my church was my hero. He worked and worked and FINALLY unlocked the car, before the serviceman arrived that I had called.

I have a new car but without some "amenities". It has manual locks and crank windows. The grandchildren had no idea what those were for. Now they think they're cool! :)

For a minute I thought you were going to tell us that it was a convertible.

Mr. Brattcat is not just a handsome face then Brattcat! Good thing he was there to the rescue.

A lurgy is something that makes you feel really horrible for a while but is not seriously life threatening, although it did feel like I was in danger of popping off a few nights ago haha! Just one of the many flu bugs that go around with the change in the weather temps. I daresay i'll survive to tell the tale!!

An act of engineering genius.

Please send Mr. Brattcat over here. My passenger door won't open so friends have to sit in the back and I feel like a taxi-driver!

A smart lad, that mr. brattcat. Last week I thought I had locked my keys in my car until I realized that the keys were in my hand. Senility is getting closer and closer.

Once it happened to me... I solved the problem with a coat hanger while passers by looked at me like a thief! I guess coat hangers would be impossible to use with modern cars.
