Wow. Yeah, my desk also looks like that one, too and I got my granddad's 1960's type writer on top. Beside my old school desk I had an ancient PC windows XP from 1999.
Yes, in the office; no, at home. Love both the desk and old typewriter!
I apologize for disappearing again. My husband and went on a long road trip (I didn't have time to create scheduled posts) and when we got home a week ago, we discovered that we didn't have our land line or internet connection. Despite following up everyday (sometimes twice a day) no service crew has yet come to our house. I'm in an internet cafe in a mall right now, just to feed my internet addiction a bit.

I want them! as well the desk as the typewriter! sooo full of charm and nostalgy!
Gosh I'll say Brattcat, but I bet in their day they were the height of efficiency! Love all the lovely warm wood in this image.
Let's switch offices!
My desk doesn't come close. I have typed on a typewriter of that vintage and your fingers really get quite a workout.
That's a work of art.
I think I could really write something worth while with a desk like that to work at!
What a sound it made in its time.

My desk isn't nearly so neat but then I donth have to find room for that giant typewriter.
Um, no. My desk is where all the peper in the world goes to die.
Love this kind of rolltop desks, for its multiple shelves!
My office is far less fascinating that this wooden beauty. And I have a vile computer, not a vintage typewriter...
Hopefully we are not judged by the appearance of our work space! You (or this owner) gets an A+
I can still hear the clickety clack and the.........ding!

There must have been a lot less paperwork in those days.
Ha! Never and it wouldn't even if I had that beautiful desk.
