take a chance and dance

all over brattleboro this weekend,
at street corners, storefronts, and town parks,
music rang out and bodies moved.
in homage to jilly of menton daily photo,
i answer her exquisite series on the tango with
small town vermont's adventure in public dancing.

Artistry flows all summer in communities both large and small. Great to see so many people from all over engaged in fine arts of all kinds. Bravo to small town Vermont citizens...citizens of the world!

Wonderful! A place where you can dance on the streets is a place for me.

That must have been fun! Can't imagine it happening around here. The only people dancing in Ocala are the politicians when you ask them a pertinent question. They dance all around those.

Now, I got to check out the tango. It's as close as I'll get to dancing today.

Small towns are great at this kind of thing! We recently had a fun public salsa series in Princeton, so nice to see this here.

Well we just can't hold a candle to that tango dancing in France can we! I would imagine those dancers in Brattleboro were just as inspiring to watch though.

We have a lot of music here, not so much dancers. But people dance when they hear music, so..

Some of us lack the talent to dance, or sing, in public.

Your town may be small, but it sure has big spirit!

Oh Brattcat, what a sensational photograph. I love the way you've cropped it (or perhaps framed and clicked) their energy, their concentration. Just adore it. And thankyou so much for your generous comments on the tango series. Now wouldn't it be something if you and Mr. Brattcat were here for that one year. I'd expect you to dance of course!

Looking forward very much to more in this series. xxx

This would never happen in winter. Isn't summer great? As great as this shot is.
