on an adventure to isabelle's lavender farm in jacksonville, vermont,

we found a planted heap with a rat hood ornament,
 a fragrant blur of green,
and a half-blind dog walking down the road.

a very good adventure indeed.

I have never heard of or seen a rat hood ornament. That is obviously an after-market accessory.

Can you imagine the marketing department meeting if some junior executive in Detroit came in a presented the concept of marketing cars with a rat hood ornament.

The reaction would probably be "It is ideas like your that explain why we needed a government bailout."

Adventures can be found everywhere and you photographed one with lots of variety. I like the flag on the hood of the car. Not so sure about the rat ornament.

The rat ornament is a hoot! I agree with Dave and can just imagine a marketing department meeting to deal with that!! I do love lavender farms! We have some very large ones here in Washington! Great captures for the day! Hope your week is going well!

Gotta love the smile on that dog's face and those long, long legs. After 16 1/2 years loving on my dearly departed Duncan, aminiature dachshund, I'm amazed by those legs!

About the rat hood ornament, since I'm a fan of a local Portland, Oregon, car enthusiast who goes by Ratty Caddy, I must report that the rat rulz! Google Image Ratty Caddy for some fun.

I like the dog! Can't help thinking of Forrest Gump (life is like a chocolate box: you never know what you'll find!)

It's a dream. Or will be tonight! Sheesh. Or should I say, "Rats!" But it fits, 'cause I've heard only hoods wear ornaments like that.

The dog picture was a bonus. I've not seen a half-blind labradoodle before!

I love the old car.

What really pulled me in was how much the wheel and fender look like a drawing of an eye and eyebrow. A lot like Isis.

It looks like that dog is giving you a friendly greeting.

You never know what you'll see so it's always best to carry your camera. The rat ornament has me scratching my head...
