is there anything more disarming

than a nearsighted fox?
but be mindful of your chicks...
a fox is a fox,
even in top hat and tie.

Indeed, don't let the sophisticated appearance fool you. A fox is a fox, just like a cat is a cat. Or is it? (Oh, oh here he goes again :^)) Wonderful image.

Great capture! And where did you find this little gem? I think he's very charming.

Have a great day.

The irony is that he looks very much like a mounted fox hunter...

The arrangement of flowers and little sculpture is very artsy. And, the steps are in great condition. But, how do the owners get into and out of the door? Doesn't appear to be a usable passage or walk through? These questions are too practical; should just admire the image!!

He is quite the man of the manor here... great color combination on this building. I am thinking a business but perhaps a home?

Thanks everyone. Montreal and Genie, this is a home on Wantastiquet Drive in Brattleboro. Kate, my camera has foreshortened the stoop. There is room to use the front door but it's not uncommon in New England to ignore the front door and use one around the side. Ciel, excellent observation.

Very ironic! It seems the fox is all dressed up for a fox hunt in England. Lovely composition.

I should have read other comments first... Ciel has just said it! :-)

Too cute! I'm with Kate, though. Is this a frequently used door? Surely not, it's too pretty a scene to be disturbed regularly.

Blogger failed me first time. Let's try again. I said that I like it when a sense of humor is matched by a sense of style, as we see here. Great shot.

It makes me think of Doctor DeSoto...Mrs. DeSoto certainly did not trust that fox and was right to be worried!

The fox is content because he just returned from the optician.

This is a lot better than the yard figurines I used to see in suburban St. Louis of stable hands coming out like they were ready to grab one's horse. I think those were culturally insensitive, if you catch my drift.

I would be scared to approach that guy. There's just something about him.
