The guy dressed in black in the top photo looks like a chimney sweep or an undertaker, not really what one thinks of as the partying type.

Yesterday Julie bought two pair of "Darn Tough Vermont" hiking socks, which proudly proclaimed that they are the best socks ever and are made in Vermont. The package showed a rugged man in a flannel shirt who did not look anything like the two men you showed today.

I like revelers! And reveling. I think I'd like Brattleboro!

It's also fun when revelers dress up in reveling costumes.
