J's car is covered with yellow. Musta parked under a forsythia. Ha!

So happy we are at a point where there actually are blossoms and petals to admire.

So nice to know you are back! And this picture is beautiful, a carpet of flowers!
Have a nice week ahead,

umm ... what is Swiss ... I can guess the dotted bit ... It is probably just the name that is different. I suspect you would judge Australia to be seasonless. We can see it, and feel it, but the extremes that you folk endure is not thrust upon us.

thank you for your kind comments. MB

Wonderful way to portray the Spring.

Such a wonderful comparison. I haven't seen something made of dotted Swiss in ages.

Could have been a maple tree, Birdman. Our car is also caked with yellow pollen.

Oh welcome back, dear Brattcat. I had to Google 'dotted Swiss' but, of course, I needn't have bothered as it's exactly as you show in the photograph. Except you can't make a nightie of blossoms - oh hey, perhaps you can...

And now we can begin obsessing about the dandelions again!!! Quick, hand me my Weed B-Gon.

Whose obsessing about dandelions, Jack? They make a delicious tea (good for the back) and they're not bad in salads, either, though I'd hesitate using them for either if they've already been treated with Weed B Gone. That stuff leaves a nasty chemical taste on the tongue.

Each season has its own kind of flakes..

and some of us are flaky, regardless the season...i'm just anticipating your comment, jacob.

Some things are looking good here. I hope there will be some blooms and butterflies soon. We have had lots of rain. That seems to have made everything lush.

Get the broom!

What are you doing down here in Paradise? And why would you voluntarily leave Paradise?

And whatcha mean "hot"? This ain't hot! Come back in August!

I played golfs this morning and it was cool and breezy and even now it's only about 75. And we have no swiss cheese to sweep up on our sidewalks. At least so far as I know!

Well, it looks as if I am a bit late for the witty repartée! I would not want any of Jack's dandelion Weed-Bgone soup, but I do love your dotted Swiss path, a perfect description!

Glad to see you back!

Bises,
Genie

Welcome back. If someone had mentioned spotted Swiss to me, I would have thought they were talking about moldy cheese.

We don't have many dandelions in Arizona, and whenever Julie sees a field of them on our travels and comments about their color, I have to tell her they are a weed, not a flower.

Glad you're back. White snow, white little flowers - how can we flatlanders tell the difference?

What a beautiful way to describe this lovely scene!

PS I'm really glad you're back with us!

I"m laughing at the fact that "dotted swiss" was not readily known by everyone. That's what is so fascinating about blogging. We all learn from each other. I had dotted swiss dresses and I think curtains at one time. :)

PS And Jacob knows HOT and so do Genie and I! Whew.

It snowed in mid May one year!

Dotted swiss reminds me of an Easter dress my mother made for me... maybe it was the spring landscape that inspired her fabric selection.
