Oh my goodness, I see I've missed all these wonderful NY photos. Have enjoyed looking back at them. A super series, dear Brattcat. I love today's image. As Dave says, they don't make movie theaters like that any more!

Tis quite an intricate design you've captured here, Kitty.
Oh my, it is indeed detailed!
Beautiful theater or theatre. Nice touches.
The do not make movie theaters like the used to. The suburban multiplex does not have the same elegance or charm as the old movie palaces.
Gorgeous detail!
In a word...stunning!

Short of a trip to New York where can I find more interior photos of this beautiful theater?
Thank you all!
GW Bill Miller: simply google "New Amsterdam Theatre", then click on images, and voila, a feast for the eyes.
Wow!
A tree fan. Art Deco?
Funny that: I'm currently reading Edward Rutherford's latest book and am in New Amsterdam every evening...
Gorgeous detail, BC. I love the old theatres and cinemas that are OTT like this. We have just a couple left here in Sydney.
I thing gorgeous would be the right word here!
Opulent Art Deco. Did you go to a Broadway show? The prices are outrageous.
Very nice. Imagine a place like that in Brattleboro! Wait . . .
Magnificent detail, it looks stunning! (If you had the time : The Cloisters)
I'm not sure if it's Art Nouveau or Deco, but whatever it is, it's gorgeous!
