Simple but so perfect!

I could easily see myself in that environment if not in that photo. Love the horizontal lines of the fence and the vertical trees. The red around the trunks add a dash of colour.

What a beautifully composed photograph. Vermont-Rouge. All so perfectly green and red. Kate said it all better than me other than I'd not deal with the cold.

I wish I was too. It would certainly be cooler than Texas!

In Australia the red socks would be to ward off possums, but maybe in Vermont they are to ward off squirrels.

Such a beautiful postcard you are sharing with us.

Beautiful postcard picture Brattcat! So glad they went for red tree guards, looks so good with the lush green.

There have been many times I wished I was there, too! Not so much in December - March...but other times of the year; especially in the fall! One of these days.

Lovely, and very well-composed photo!

BTW - Scary Tim was in an old antique shop!

P.S. Shhhh, don't tell anyone but I completely forgot about theme day. Again.

Ahhh....this is post card perfect. I love it.
About your comment, I like the photo I posted better because of the perspective. The one I posted two years ago faced away from downtown and into a dark horizon. For some reason I like this one facing the tall buildings of downtown much better.

How on earth did you ever choose? Every single photo of yours is postcard worthy. This one is beckoning.... :)

The angles of the fence and trees are perfect. In Costa Rica, the farmer or rancher would have used the trees as fence posts, as it is common to plant trees in a row and then string barbed wire between them to be what are called "living fences."

Exquisite! The simple view of a fence-row and trees is stunning and very worthy of a post-card. I have only been to Vermont once but have lovely images in my head from the memory, enhanced by your daily photos.

Beautiful Vermont is so kind to show us its treasures. Great.

Me too. It's a little more brown than green around here.

That NPR story about Brattleboro was on Monday morning, not evening. And it wasn't about crime in your town, but rather a crime fiction writer. It would be interesting to hear your reaction.
